I can barely believe it myself but look what I just did!!!!
Wait…you can’t read that can you? Lets take a closer look:
That’s right – I’m going to become a Spinning instructor!!! Or that’s the plan anyway!
After the Orientation workshop I’ll have some additional self-paced training to complete and then an Assessment (online) before I become a certified Spinning instructor.
This has always been a goal of mine & I’ve “talked” for a long time about wanting to do this, mostly just to Ryan and a few close friends. But I never acted on it.
And THEN Kristen – who teaches the 6pm spin class I take & leads my Karna Fitness running group – sent me an email about this training session encouraging me to sign up!
I’m SO nervous already! The thought of standing up…well, being on a bike…in front of everyone currently scares the h-e-double-hockey-sticks out of me!
I used to be VERY comfortable in front of groups, as evidenced by my years in Lake Erie Regiment (drum corps) where I literally stood on a pedestal in front of a group all.day.long when I was the drum major – a/k/a the conductor! (I marched with LER for 6 years and stayed on as an instructor after I turned 21.
All eyes were SUPPOSED to be on me – and I loved every minute of it!
I hope it’ll be “like riding a bike” (pun intended) and I’ll feel comfortable leading a group again once I get up there.
So, yay for new adventures!!!! Can’t wait until March 17th!!
This is exciting and awesome! You’ll be great!!!
I’m definitely super excited to give it a shot!
Yay!!!!!!!! Being an instructor is so fun – you will LOVE it!!!!!
Aww that’s cool! Don’t be nervous, be excited! It’s something you love you do, so share the love!
How fun!! I’ve wondered how you become a spin instructor. If I had time in my schedule I would definitely do it. You’ll have to let me know how it goes
Oh and I haven’t emailed back about Sunday – but it sounds good to me. I’ll try to send an email tonight.
