Today officially started Week 2 of my 5 Weeks of Labor Challenge.

Here’s a quick reminder of the rules:
- Do not skip any workouts.
- The workout-week “starts” on Monday and “ends” on Sunday.
And now this week’s lineup
- Monday: Rest Day
- Tuesday: Swim 400 Yards + 6×400 Interval Run
- Wednesday: 6pm Spin Class or Bike 6 miles
- Thursday: Swim 400 Yards + Run 30 Minutes
- Friday: Yoga
- Saturday: Run 40 Minutes
- Sunday: Bike 10 Miles
Like Week 1, I will most likely swap some days – but every workout on the list MSUT be completed by the time I get in bed on Sunday night.
And I should probably get this out in the open now…
I’m 100% positive that some extra time in the saddle will be thrown in c/o Larry Long Haul – I just can’t keep my hands off him right now!
I’m so glad you’re totally rocking the challenge! I’m going to do a follow up on Thursday and hopefully I’ll be moving in the right direction and not gain again this week. Gotta get to goal – eyes on the prize!!!!
Can’t wait to see your follow-up! And you’re right – eyes on the prize! My prize is ROCKING this triathlon in October & this challenge will only help me do THAT much better!
Great job on Week 1. I think you totally deserve ice cream
. Love that you can’t keep your hands off Larry!
I definitely had lots of ice cream
Those swims sound fantastical. I’m more like a flounder with one fin, but I’m working my swimming evolution. I also think it’s great that you’re giving yourself a TIMED amount of running instead of distance. I should do that, too. Less pressure that way.
I am by no means a graceful swimmer. But at least I’m not close to drowning anymore! Timed runs are SO much easier on me mentally – I don’t do well knowing that I “have to run X miles today”. Minutes are so much easier for me to get thru, even though I know that 30 min is roughly 3 miles…
Look great! I have never done intervals in the water. I couldn’t imagine stopping and then having to start swimming again! I’m sure they’re a great help to your swim time though
Ah Jen – I guess I should have written that better. The intervals were an interval run, not swimming. (I changed it above now.) I can barely get thru a 400 yard swim as it is – there’s no way I’d be able to do an interval workout in the pool!
