A Match Made in Studio C

Last night I had another date with 6pm spin class.  Yet again it was FABULOUS and I think I’ve rediscovered the “perfect setup” on the bike.

Me and LeMonde are now a perfect pair!

It’s like Studio C is our own little world, and we’re the only two things in existence…well, us and the instructor anyway…

My only complaint is that my riding shoes don’t work with the pedals on the bike.

My road shoes have a completely different pedal/cleat structure so they’re out.  My MTB shoes don’t work either because the “tread” is too meaty and they get in the way of the clips.

SO I have to wear sneakers during the class.  Fine when sitting.  Torture when standing.  But I got used to it before, so I’m sure I’ll get used to it again!

Tomorrow night is the first Picnic Island Adventure Run - and I’m scared.  I feel totaly unprepared.

The last several runs I’ve gone on have been awful.  My form feels off.  My legs feel heavy.  My mind wanders.  The air feels THICK and HOT.

As much as I’m worried about it, I’m trying to keep a positive attitude and go into the race tomorrow with a positive attitude.

Starting now I’m going to keep telling myself  “I CAN DO THIS.  And it WILL BE FUN!!!!”

You’re going to have a great time. It’s not like a normal “race”. Just think of how fun it it’s gong to be to run through water and mud, crawl through sand on your hands and knees, and hurdle miscellaneous other objects. You’ll be so busy you won’t have time to get tired.

I’ve still yet to try spin but I really want to. And positive attitude is everything – - good luck!!!
